About ONE HEARTLAND INC
One Heartland is a Minnesota-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 1993 that has provided residential camp programs and year‑round social services for children, youth and families who face stigma, illness or social isolation. The organization’s programs historically focused on campers affected by HIV/AIDS, youth experiencing shelter insecurity, and young people who identify as LGBT, offering hands-on learning, life‑skills training and intensive counselor support. In 2024 the board made a strategic decision to put the camp property up for sale; the property was subsequently purchased by a Twin Cities church group and will continue to be used as a family camp and retreat site while One Heartland continues its mission through other program and funding activities.
