BodyKind Vail
Provide compassionate, community-based, peer-led support, education, and connection for people impacted by eating disorders in the Vail Valley.
About BodyKind Vail
BodyKind Vail is a community-rooted nonprofit founded by local resident Alex Kandalaft to deliver non-clinical, peer-supported programs—peer support groups, one-on-one mentoring, mealtime support, workshops, and local education—addressing eating disorders and body-image harms in Eagle County and the Vail Valley.
The organization grew from local events and peer groups in 2025 and has positioned itself as a community access point that connects participants to higher levels of clinical care as needed while prioritizing trauma-informed, body-liberation, and equity-centered approaches.
BodyKind Vail incorporated as a Colorado nonprofit in 2025; third-party nonprofit registries list an exempt/charitable status in mid–late 2025 (public IRS databases may take time to update).
