MIDWEST SPECIAL SERVICES INC

Midwest Special Services (MSS) is a Minnesota-based 501(c)(3) day and employment services provider founded in 1949 that supports adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities across the Twin Cities. MSS operates multiple program sites and provides person-centered day support, employment services, and community integration opportunities designed to increase independence and civic participation. In recent years MSS has expanded its arts and career pathways work through Fresh Eye Arts and Fresh Eye Gallery, growing its creative-studio model and artist career supports. MSS serves roughly 500+ individuals annually, directs the large majority of its budget to program services, and has reported multi-year revenue growth supporting expanding program capacity and community partnerships. MSS maintains an active web presence, publishes annual reports and financials, and files Form 990 tax returns; its programs include day support, individualized employment services, business workforce solutions, and a progressive fine-arts studio that supports artists with disabilities to create, exhibit, and sell work.
