About Pillsbury United Communities

Pillsbury United Communities (PUC) is a long-established Minneapolis multiservice nonprofit that operates neighborhood community centers, social enterprises, early education, arts and media programs, and direct family stabilization services. The organization works across North, Phillips, Powderhorn, and Cedar-Riverside neighborhoods to meet urgent basic needs while advancing longer-term economic opportunity and civic participation. PUC serves tens of thousands of residents annually through food shelves, employment and training programs, early childhood education with documented kindergarten-readiness outcomes, community media and arts initiatives, and rapid-response emergency support for families. In recent years PUC has expanded its social enterprise footprint, completed the Pillsbury Creative Commons redevelopment, and launched targeted rapid-response efforts to address emergent crises in Minneapolis.

Notable achievements
