BLOOMINGTON-EDEN PRAIRIE MEALS ON WHEELS

Bloomington–Eden Prairie Meals on Wheels is a volunteer-driven 501(c)(3) nonprofit that delivers balanced, noon-hour meals to homebound seniors, people with disabilities, and others in Bloomington and Eden Prairie who cannot shop or cook for themselves. The organization combines meal delivery with volunteer check-ins to address both nutritional needs and social isolation, operating multiple delivery routes Monday through Friday year-round. In recent years the program has sustained and expanded services—maintaining operations through the COVID-19 period, adopting additional client supports (including birthday bags and monthly flower deliveries), and piloting social-connection programs such as Phone Friends and Lunch Dates beginning in 2025—while continuing close partnerships with the cities of Bloomington and Eden Prairie and other community funders.
