About THE BRIDGE FOR YOUTH
The Bridge for Youth is a long-established Minneapolis nonprofit that provides 24/7 emergency shelter, transitional and supportive housing, outreach, counseling, and crisis intervention for young people experiencing homelessness and their children. The organization centers youth voice and equity in program design and operates specialized services for pregnant and parenting youth, LGBTQ+ youth, and BIPOC youth. In recent years The Bridge has scaled services and documented measurable outcomes: in FY2025 it reported serving more than 11,000 youth across programs, supporting hundreds in shelter and housing, and achieving high rates of youth engagement in holistic health and positive adult relationships at exit. The organization has also invested in facility renovation and program expansion (including a Young Fathers Initiative) and secured pre‑design funding for a housing expansion to better serve young families.
