About SEWARD CHILD CARE CENTER INC

Seward Child Care Center Inc. (SCCC) is a parent-governed, teacher-run cooperative nonprofit early childhood center in Minneapolis that provides play-based education with an emphasis on equity, inclusion, and social-emotional development.

The center serves up to about 30 children daily (roughly ages 16 months–5 years), holds National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) accreditation and a four-star Parent Aware rating, and relies primarily on program service revenue to support operations. SCCC has operated for more than 50 years, has an active Minnesota DHS child care license, and in recent years has conducted anniversary fundraising to support an in-house scholarship fund; Minnesota DHS records show licensing reviews and a licensing investigation with site visits including March 19, 2025.
