PRG, Inc.

PRG, Inc. (originally the Powderhorn Residents Group, founded in 1976) is a Minneapolis-based nonprofit that develops affordable homeownership opportunities and provides homebuyer education, one-on-one advising, foreclosure-prevention and refinance advising. PRG focuses on building and rehabilitating entry-level homes for income-qualified buyers while offering HUD-certified counseling and lending support to help families purchase and keep homes.

PRG works in partnership with neighborhoods, community groups, public agencies and land banks across the Twin Cities metro to turn vacant properties into affordable, energy-efficient homes and to influence housing policy that reduces racial and economic disparities. Its work combines real estate development, direct client services, and community organizing to increase long-term, resident-controlled homeownership in core Minneapolis neighborhoods and nearby communities.
