About Minnesota Quilters, Inc.

Minnesota Quilters, Inc. is a member-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Saint Paul, Minnesota, founded in 1978 to promote quilting across the state through education, documentation, and service. The organization produces statewide programming including monthly member meetings, workshops, retreats, the Minnesota Quilt Project (documentation of historic quilts), and the annual Minnesota Quilt Show, a multi-day public event that draws thousands of visitors and dozens of vendors. Minnesota Quilters also runs Quilting for Others, an ongoing service program that assembles and donates quilts, placemats, chemotherapy port pillows and holiday stockings to shelters, health-care programs, and other community agencies, and publishes a regular member newsletter and archives.

The Minnesota Quilt Show (annual)

Quilting for Others (ongoing service project)

Maintains a large volunteer-driven service program that produces and donates quilts, placemats, stockings and chemotherapy port pillows to shelters, hospice and health-care partners across Minnesota.

Longstanding statewide education and documentation

Has provided continuous quilting education, grants, scholarships and a statewide quilt documentation project since its founding in 1978, including an extensive newsletter archive and regular instructor-led workshops and retreats.
