About FORECAST PUBLIC ARTWORKS
Forecast Public Artworks (doing business as Forecast Public Art) is a Saint Paul–based nonprofit that supports and produces public art through grants, consulting, artist residencies, community engagement, and publishing. The organization partners with government agencies, foundations, and community groups to commission temporary and permanent public artworks, provide professional development for artists, and build tools and processes for community-centered public art practice. In the past 2–3 years Forecast has led statewide and regional initiatives—including a pilot statewide parks artist-in-residence program (MNPAiR), the Midwest Memory program focused on monuments and memorials in rural Midwest communities, and recurring public-art programming such as the Joyful World Mural Park at the Minnesota State Fair. Forecast also operates a competitive artist-grant program and offers planning, selection, and engagement services to municipalities and cultural partners.
