NEIGHBORHOOD HOUSING SERVICES OF MINNEAPOLIS INC

Neighborhood Housing Services of Minneapolis (NHSM) is a Minneapolis-based 501(c)(3) organization focused on preserving and promoting affordable homeownership in inner-city neighborhoods through counseling, loans, buyer education, and post-purchase supports. In 2015 NHSM merged its programmatic and lending stewardship with the City of Lakes Community Land Trust (CLCLT); NHSM continues as a distinct nonprofit entity while its loan funds and some program administration are stewarded in coordination with CLCLT. NHSM has historically provided homebuyer training (including language-accessible classes), downpayment assistance, home improvement lending, and post-purchase maintenance and equity-protection counseling. NHSM remains an active tax-exempt organization with recent Form 990 filings through fiscal year ending December 31, 2023.
