About MINNESOTA ASSOCIATION OF COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTERS

The Minnesota Association of Community Health Centers (MNACHC) is the statewide nonprofit membership organization for Minnesota’s Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs). MNACHC represents and supports member health centers—providing policy advocacy, training, technical assistance, and partnership development. In recent years MNACHC has focused on workforce development, community health center expansion, and state and federal policy advocacy to protect and strengthen access to primary medical, dental, and behavioral health services for low-income and medically underserved communities across urban, rural, and tribal areas of Minnesota.

Notable achievements

MN PATHways Apprenticeship Launched

Designed and scaled the MN PATHways apprenticeship initiative (medical and dental assistant cohorts) to create paid, full‑time career pipelines; over 40 graduates since 2022 with a reported ~90% retention rate and participation from 10+ partner clinics.

Statewide Policy Advocacy & Representation

Serves as the collective voice for Minnesota’s FQHCs—representing 17 health centers statewide and advocating on major state policy issues (including pharmacy/340B and Medicaid pharmacy policy) to protect resources that support services for nearly 200,000 patients annually.

Annual Many Faces of Community Health Conference

Operates the long‑running Many Faces of Community Health conference and related trainings, convening health center clinicians and staff for workforce development, quality improvement, and equity-focused practice sharing across the state.
