About MINNESOTA TEAMSTERS FOOD SHELF
Minnesota Teamsters Food Shelf (also referred to as Teamsters Helping Teamsters or the Teamsters Joint Council 32 Food Shelf) is a labor-run food shelf operating under the Teamsters Joint Council structure in Minneapolis. It focuses on serving Teamster members, retirees and immediate family members during job loss, illness, strikes, or other emergencies. The food shelf has operated since the early 1980s and continues to function as an active distribution partner within Minnesota’s hunger-relief network; recent filings and partner reports show ongoing grants and food-distribution activity in the last 2–3 years. The program is supported by Joint Council 32, the Minnesota Teamsters Retirees Club, employer and member donations, and partnerships with regional food banks and networks.
