About WASHBURN HIGH SCHOOL FOUNDATION

The Washburn High School Foundation is a donor-facing 501(c)(3) nonprofit established to support Washburn High School (Minneapolis) through teacher mini-grants, program and capital support, and scholarships for graduating students. The Foundation raises funds from alumni and community supporters and directs that funding into classroom projects, arts and athletics, and direct student scholarships. In the last 2–3 years the Foundation has continued an active mini-grant program (roughly $50,000 awarded to staff annually), funded scholarships, and published regular newsletters describing awards and program impacts — including support for theater productions, athletics teams advancing to state-level competition, and curricular enrichment. The organization maintains an active donor portal and communications (newsletters, event pages, and a Hall of Fame) and is governed by an active volunteer board led by an alumnus board president.
