About Down Syndrome Association of Minnesota
The Down Syndrome Association of Minnesota (DSAMn) is a statewide 501(c)(3) organization based in Saint Paul that provides information, family-to-family support, direct services and advocacy for people with Down syndrome and their families. DSAMn operates programs across the lifespan — including New & Expectant Parent support, the Family Connector program, transition-to-adulthood services, adult-focused programming, community enrichment classes, and statewide awareness events — and partners with clinical and educational providers to improve care coordination. In fiscal year 2024 DSAMn reported approximately $885k in revenue and expanded program reach: the Family Connector program served several hundred families, DSAMn distributed classroom kits and awareness materials to tens of thousands of students for World Down Syndrome Day, and the organization deepened partnerships with local Down syndrome clinics to embed DSAMn staff onsite.

In 2024 the Family Connector program served several hundred families directly and provided emergency financial assistance to additional families, expanding one-on-one navigation and peer support statewide.
World Down Syndrome Day classroom outreach
Distributed classroom kits and resources that reached over 33,000 students across Minnesota and western Wisconsin, increasing public awareness and inclusion in schools.
Clinical partnerships established
Began formal collaborations with Children's Minnesota Down Syndrome Clinic locations in 2024, placing DSAMn Family Connector staff onsite to improve medical-to-community care coordination.
