About NEIGHBORHOOD DEVELOPMENT ALLIANCE INC

Neighborhood Development Alliance (NeDA) is a Saint Paul–based community development corporation that builds and preserves affordable housing while providing bilingual housing and financial counseling across the Twin Cities. NeDA operates HUD-certified housing counseling programs and a Community Development Financial Institution affiliate (Centro de Finanzas) to expand equitable lending and homeownership access for low- and moderate-income families.

NeDA’s services include one-on-one financial coaching, HUD-certified homebuyer education, foreclosure prevention, credit-building loans, and rehabilitation lending. In recent years the organization has emphasized culturally responsive outreach to Latino and first-generation families and has reported measurable impact through development projects, lending, and direct client services.

Major real estate investment and housing production

$40,000,000+ of real estate development in the East Metro/West Side, including development or preservation of 84 single-family homes and 159 affordable rental apartments.

High-volume counseling and homebuyer outcomes

Thousands counseled—NeDA reports having counseled over 6,500 individuals historically and serves 875+ households annually, with recent cohorts producing dozens of first-time homeowners supported through its programs.

Home rehabilitation lending and debt relief

$1,000,000 in deferred home rehabilitation loans to 175 West Side homeowners and over $1,000,000 of household debt repaid through NeDA’s financial tools and programs.
