The Professional Student Government (PSG) represents and serves professional students at the University of Minnesota’s Twin Cities campus, acting as a resource for member councils, advocating on academic and policy issues, and facilitating inter- and intra-collegiate collaboration to advance student welfare and professional development.

About PROFESSIONAL STUDENT GOVERNMENT

Professional Student Government (PSG) is the official representative body for professional students at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities. It serves ten member councils (including law, medicine, nursing, pharmacy, dentistry, public health, veterinary medicine, management, education & human development, and public affairs) and acts as a central liaison to university administration and the Board of Regents. PSG is organized as a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit and operates a recurring grants program, governance structures (Congress, Executive Branch, and committees), and university-facing advocacy channels. PSG maintains regular public governance documents and holds monthly Congress sessions where grant awards and policy matters are considered. In recent years PSG has remained active in campus life and finance: its most recent fiscal filings show consistent program-focused revenues and expenditures (program services comprise the large majority of revenue), it continued monthly grant cycles and student-facing programming through 2024–2026, and it ran campus events (including a PSG Gala in February 2026) while maintaining public corporate documents and an updated executive team for the 2025–2026 academic year.
