JUNGLE THEATER

Jungle Theater (EIN 41-1677757) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit theater company founded in 1991 and rooted in the Lyn‑Lake neighborhood of Minneapolis. The organization produces bold, intimate productions, operates artist-development programs (including the Jungle Artist Cohort and new-works reading series), and maintains a long track record of community-focused programming and local critical recognition.

In recent years (2023–2026) the Jungle has continued artist support work while adapting its operations: it announced new artist cohorts, celebrated milestones such as a 25‑year presence on Lyndale (2024), added a community mural (2024), and implemented accessibility measures like Pay‑As‑You‑Are ticketing for select productions. In May 2026 the organization paused full production while placing its building on the market and engaged pro‑bono planning support from the University of Minnesota Impact Lab as part of a transition and financial sustainability strategy; it has remained active through classes, rehearsal space, limited events and fundraising activity.
