About KID ZONE CHILD CARE CENTER

Kid Zone Child Care Center is a nonprofit early learning center that provides child care and early education for children from six weeks through the beginning of kindergarten. The program was established in 1989 and is governed by a parent-based Board of Directors that emphasizes family involvement and educator support. The organization operates a renovated facility in Hopkins (relocated January 2022) with an on-site kitchen, an organic garden, and an inclusive curriculum focused on health, nutrition, and creative exploration. Kid Zone participates in the Federal Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) and runs annual community fundraising campaigns (including GiveMN/Give to the Max) to support facility updates and programming. Kid Zone holds an active Minnesota child care license and continues to operate weekday programming for local families while pursuing grant and community fundraising support to maintain affordability, nutrition programming, and outdoor learning spaces.
