About Minnesota Homeownership Center

The Minnesota Homeownership Center is a statewide nonprofit intermediary that leads a network of community-based homeownership advisors, offering free counseling, homebuyer education, foreclosure prevention services, and industry resources to expand equitable access to homeownership. The Center focuses on serving lower-income households and communities of color and partners with local nonprofit agencies, financial institutions, and government programs to deliver culturally responsive advising and training across greater Minnesota and the Twin Cities metro. In recent years the organization has published annual community impact reports and launched a strategic plan (early 2026) while continuing large-scale advising and education: in 2023 it delivered thousands of hours of homebuyer education, advised several thousand homebuyer households, and helped hundreds of homeowners avoid foreclosure.
