About RONDO COMMUNITY LAND TRUST

Rondo Community Land Trust (Rondo CLT) is a community-based 501(c)(3) that acquires and stewards land to create permanently affordable housing and commercial space across Saint Paul, Ramsey County, and Dakota County. Founded as the first community land trust in Minnesota, Rondo CLT uses the CLT ground-lease model to enable below-market home purchases while ensuring long-term affordability for future buyers. In recent years the organization has scaled operations and fundraising, expanded staff, and advanced a reparative development framework that centers Black leadership and the descendants of the historic Rondo neighborhood. Rondo CLT develops residential pathways for households at or below 80% AMI, creates affordable commercial incubator spaces for small businesses and cultural organizations, and partners with city and regional agencies on neighborhood redevelopment projects. Rondo CLT combines place-based development, community engagement, and cooperative stewardship to prevent displacement, preserve intergenerational wealth, and sustain neighborhood cultural assets for future generations.
