About MANO A MANO INTERNATIONAL PARTNERS

Mano a Mano International Partners is a U.S.-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit headquartered in Saint Paul, Minnesota, that partners with Bolivian communities to recover surplus medical, school, and construction supplies and to build infrastructure that improves health and economic well-being. Founded in 1994 by Segundo and Joan Velasquez, the organization combines donated supplies, community-led infrastructure projects, training, and ongoing maintenance to deliver sustainable clinics, schools, water systems, roads and emergency air transport across rural Bolivia. Recent activity includes publication of its 2025 annual report and continued supply shipments (182,317 pounds shipped from Minnesota in 2024) and ongoing project work reported through 2025–2026.

The organization has built 188 clinics that provide access to healthcare for roughly 800,000 Bolivians, pairing construction with training and continuing health education to sustain services.

Emergency air rescues and infrastructure

Mano a Mano’s programs have provided emergency air rescue for thousands of patients and have constructed or improved more than 1,200 miles of roads, plus water reservoirs, wells, schools and community facilities.
