About GAY-LESBIAN-BISEXUAL TRANSGENDER PRIDE-TWIN CITIES (d/b/a Twin Cities Pride)

Twin Cities Pride (legal name Gay-Lesbian-Bisexual-Transgender Pride/Twin Cities) is a Minnesota 501(c)(3) nonprofit that organizes the annual Twin Cities Pride Festival and operates year-round community programming serving LGBTQIA2S+ people in the Minneapolis–Saint Paul region. The organization runs a cultural arts center and multiple programs focused on youth, gender-affirming services, arts, and community access.

In the last 2–3 years Twin Cities Pride has expanded its Rainbow Circle community programs — including the Rainbow Wardrobe (free gender-affirming clothing and supplies), youth game nights and camps, arts residencies, and sports scholarships — and publishes an annual impact report documenting program growth and festival activity. The organization maintains an active volunteer and donor base and partners with corporate and community sponsors to fund programming and services.

Twin Cities Pride operates both large public-facing events (festival, parade, family programming) and direct-service programs targeted to LGBTQIA2S+ populations (youth, trans and gender-diverse community members, and seniors), positioning itself as a major regional hub for Pride celebration and year-round queer community support.

Longstanding regional Pride festival

Produces the Twin Cities Pride Festival (origins in the early 1970s) — one of the region's largest LGBTQIA2S+ events — along with associated events such as the Parade, Family Fun Day, Rainbow Run 5K, and Grand Marshal Reception.

Established Rainbow Circle & Rainbow Wardrobe

Launched and scaled Rainbow Circle programming including the Rainbow Wardrobe, a year-round, no-cost gender-affirming clothing and supplies program that became a significant direct-service offering in 2023–2025 and has expanded its reach and budget for gender-affirming undergarments.

Expanded year-round youth and arts programming

Grew recurring programs — youth nights, youth camp, sports scholarships, Artist-in-Residence and Junior Artist initiatives, and community arts programming — to provide sustained supports and development opportunities beyond the June festival.
