About Energy CENTS Coalition (Commit Energy Now to Survive)

Energy CENTS Coalition (also known by the historic name Commit Energy Now to Survive) is a Minnesota-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit that helps low- and fixed-income households afford utility service through bill-assistance programs, home energy upgrades, and policy advocacy. The organization runs and administers affordability programs for utility customers, provides weatherization and conservation upgrades for homes, and campaigns at the state level for protections and affordability measures. In recent years Energy CENTS has reported helping over 20,000 customers annually, upgrading more than 600 homes a year through its conservation programs, and documenting cumulative customer savings in the millions. The coalition combines direct client services (including administration of utility affordability programs) with legislative and regulatory advocacy aimed at long-term utility affordability and consumer protections.
