COMOCONNECTS

COMOCONNECTS is a neighborhood-based 501(c)(3) organization (tax-exempt since 1996) that coordinates volunteers, paid staff and local resources to help older adults remain living independently in the Como Park and Falcon Heights area of Saint Paul, Minnesota. The organization operates volunteer-driven programs (friendly visits, volunteer drivers, grocery shopping, yard work) and fee-for-service home supports (foot care, homemaker services), and runs community-facing offerings such as blood pressure clinics, social events, and a Device Library to reduce technology barriers for seniors. In the last 2–3 years ComoConnects has continued active programming and partnership work—maintaining ongoing transportation and in-home support services, participating in statewide community care initiatives, and appearing in local nonprofit and community resource listings—while operating on a modest annual budget consistent with a small, locally focused senior services nonprofit.
