About Midwest Food Connection

Midwest Food Connection (EIN 41-1839791) is a Minneapolis-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides hands-on food education to elementary and middle school students across the Twin Cities. The organization’s classroom- and garden-based programs emphasize cooking, tasting, gardening and sustainable food systems. For more than two decades Midwest Food Connection has partnered with local food co-ops, farms, schools, and cultural leaders to deliver culturally relevant lessons that build practical skills and food literacy. In the 2022–23 school year the organization returned fully to in-person programming and expanded curriculum work focused on Hmong and Native food traditions.
