About JUXTAPOSITION INC (Juxtaposition Arts)

Juxtaposition Arts (JXTA) is a North Minneapolis–based, youth-focused art and design education center that combines studio training, paid apprenticeships, a retail shop, gallery space, and social-enterprise creative services. The organization runs structured training programs (Visual Art Literacy Training / VALT), a FreeWall aerosol painting summer camp, and JXTALabs paid apprenticeships that place youth on real client projects. JXTA owns and has renovated multiple buildings on the Emerson & West Broadway campus and has pursued a multi-year capital campaign to expand into a consolidated 27,000-square-foot campus. The organization explicitly focuses on historically underestimated youth in North Minneapolis and operates programs designed to create pathways to employment, college, and market-ready creative careers.

Acquired and redeveloped multiple properties on a key North Minneapolis intersection, catalyzing significant private and public investment along the West Broadway corridor and anchoring local creative economy activity.
