About THE MENTORING PARTNERSHIP OF MINNESOTA

The Mentoring Partnership of Minnesota (doing business as MENTOR Minnesota) is a statewide 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 1994 that leads and supports Minnesota’s mentoring movement. As a statewide intermediary and MENTOR National affiliate, it connects and strengthens a network of more than 200 mentoring programs that together reach tens of thousands of young people across the state. MENTOR Minnesota provides training, no-cost technical assistance, program quality reviews (including National Quality Mentoring System work), convening, and policy/advocacy support to mentoring programs, schools, employers, and community partners. In 2023 the organization increased direct field supports—providing over 1,200 hours of technical assistance and working with roughly 30 programs on tailored improvement projects. Recent organizational priorities (listed as strategic goals on the organization’s site) emphasize expanding the mentoring movement, influencing systems to increase youth power, elevating program quality through evidence-based practice, and engaging local leadership to scale impact across Minnesota.
