About NATIONAL ASSOCIATION FOR PROFICIENCY TESTING (NAPT)
The National Association for Proficiency Testing (NAPT) is a nonprofit provider of interlaboratory comparison and proficiency testing services that supports calibration and testing laboratories in demonstrating technical competence and meeting international standards. NAPT delivers proficiency testing kits, software tools, consulting, and accreditation support to the metrology community. As an independent, not-for-profit association headquartered in Eagan, Minnesota, NAPT emphasizes impartial analysis and industry best practices; it is accredited to ISO/IEC 17043 and positions itself as the only non-profit provider dedicated specifically to metrology proficiency testing. In recent years NAPT has expanded its software and service offerings, introduced new test kits, and launched free tools to help laboratories meet evolving accreditation and risk-assessment requirements. NAPT serves a broad set of metrology disciplines and industry partners, operating membership programs, regional interlaboratory comparison events, an online customer portal, and resources intended to help labs improve measurement uncertainty, reporting, and quality-management processes.
