Conservation Corps (doing business as Conservation Corps Minnesota & Iowa) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and AmeriCorps grantee based in St. Paul, Minnesota that recruits and trains youth and young adults for natural-resource conservation, outdoor restoration, and disaster response projects across the Upper Midwest. The organization operates year-round field crew programs and semester-based youth programs that combine service projects (trail building, habitat restoration, shoreline and erosion control, tree and shrub planting, prescribed burns) with leadership development, workforce training, and community engagement. 2024 Program Impact

In 2024 the organization reported more than 200 AmeriCorps field members who improved and restored over 27,000 acres, planted more than 51,000 trees and shrubs, and logged thousands of hours in emergency response and preparedness.

Longstanding AmeriCorps Partnership

Has operated AmeriCorps field and youth programs since expanding into Iowa and formally rebranding to Conservation Corps Minnesota & Iowa, sustaining multi-year federal and state service grants that fund large-scale conservation and disaster-response work.

Sustained Service Hours and Project Delivery

Across recent program years the corps has delivered tens of thousands of service hours on projects including trail construction and improvement, invasive species removal, shoreline stabilization, and prairie and wetland restoration.
