About REBUILDING TOGETHER - TWIN CITIES

Rebuilding Together - Twin Cities (doing business as Rebuilding Together Minnesota) is an affiliate of the national Rebuilding Together network that has operated in the Minnesota Twin Cities and statewide since 1997. The organization delivers volunteer- and contractor-driven home repairs, accessibility modifications, weatherization, and community revitalization to keep older and low-income homeowners safe and housed.

Programs include Safe at Home (fall-prevention and accessibility modifications), Home Repair (critical health-and-safety repairs and system replacements), and Community Revitalization projects; the organization partners with local volunteers, contractors, foundations, and county/state funding sources to serve Twin Cities metro neighborhoods and rural counties across Minnesota.

In 2025 the organization reported completing hundreds of repairs and projects in Minnesota — including reporting 291 projects and more than 1,000 people impacted across its programs — supported by hundreds of volunteers who contributed multiple thousand volunteer hours to repairs and installations.

Statewide Affordable Housing Aid administration

Selected to administer Statewide Affordable Housing Aid funds for multiple counties and secured full county allocations (including a $211,000 allocation for Jackson County) to deliver home repair and preservation grants in rural Minnesota counties.

Local grant support and media-recognized awards

Received competitive local grant awards and media-supported funding (including a KARE 11/Tegna Foundation community grant award in 2024) to expand safety improvement and home-repair services for qualifying homeowners.
