About THEATRE LATTE-DA

Founded in 1998, Theater Latté Da (TLD) is a professional, nonprofit musical theater company in Minneapolis dedicated to commissioning, developing, and producing original and reimagined music-theater that speaks to contemporary audiences. The organization explicitly invests in new works through its NEXT initiatives (including the NEXT Festival and NEXT Generation Commission) and places a strong emphasis on giving voice to diverse creators. In recent years TLD completed its NEXT 25x25 development initiative, marked its 100th mainstage production (2025), and has continued to present world-premiere work—including We Shall Someday (world premiere 2023) and My Ántonia (world premiere 2026). The company also completed a leadership transition in 2023 when Justin Lucero succeeded founding artistic director Peter Rothstein, and the EIN (41-1908432) is publicly reported on the organization's donor and tax pages.
