About GREAT PLAINS INSTITUTE FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

The Great Plains Institute for Sustainable Development (GPI) is a Minneapolis-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit that works with government, industry, communities, and research institutions to design and implement climate and clean-energy solutions across the Midwest and nationally. GPI serves as a convener, policy adviser, and technical partner, leading multi-stakeholder collaboratives on topics including clean hydrogen, renewable fuels, electric vehicle infrastructure, and community engagement for energy projects. In the last 2–3 years GPI has expanded community-focused engagement work (including EV education and Charging Smart designations), launched regional clean-hydrogen convening efforts, and partnered on federally funded renewable energy planning and outreach initiatives.
