About CANTUS

Cantus is an eight-member, professional low-voice vocal ensemble based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, recognized for its warm blend, inventive programming, and conductor-less chamber approach. The ensemble tours nationally and internationally, records with Signum Classics, and presents a full season of live and streamed concerts for broad audiences. Education and community engagement are central to Cantus’ work: the organization runs a High School Mentorship Program, an annual Tenor Bass Festival, a composer/commission competition, and Collaborative Concerts that bring local choral communities together. In recent seasons Cantus has expanded its national radio reach, increased digital streaming access to home concerts, and sustained an annual impact reaching thousands of students across Minnesota and beyond.
