Alliance for Metropolitan Stability

The Alliance for Metropolitan Stability is a Minneapolis-based coalition and advocacy organization that brings together community, faith, environmental, and social-justice partners to center racial and economic equity in regional planning, housing, transportation, and economic development. The Alliance convenes more than 100 community partners and operates through coalition organizing, policy advocacy, technical assistance, and public education. In recent years the organization has focused on equitable development tools and scorecards, transit justice (including leadership of the Blue Line Coalition), and business and workforce supports for BIPOC entrepreneurs through the Business Resource Collective. The Alliance operates with a professional staff, stable annual budget (approximately in the mid-seven-figure range in recent Form 990 filings), and sustained engagement in Metro Council and state legislative processes under Executive Director Joo Hee Pomplun.
