MINNESOTA VALLEY NATIONAL WILDLIFE REFUGE TRUST INC

Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuge Trust, commonly called the Minnesota Valley Trust, is a Bloomington, Minnesota based 501(c)(3) nonprofit that supports the Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuge & Wetland Management District through strategic land acquisition, habitat restoration, visitor facilities, education, and outreach. Founded in 2000 as part of a settlement to mitigate airport impacts on the Refuge, the Trust has carried out large-scale land protection and restoration work, operates paid internships and apprenticeships to develop conservation careers, and partners with federal and state agencies and local funders to expand public access and habitat in the Twin Cities metro area. In the last 2–3 years the Trust has remained active in habitat restoration, issued RFPs for engineering/restoration work, and secured state grant funding to continue its mentoring and refuge-expansion projects.
