About Charity Way Foundation

Charity Way Foundation (CWF) is a U.S.-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 1999 that operates primarily in the Indian states of Bihar and Jharkhand and in Karachi, Pakistan. The organization runs healthcare clinics and surgical camps, education programs and schools, housing and water projects, vocational training, microfinance, and emergency/disaster relief.

CWF focuses on underserved, remote communities and reports an outreach network of several hundred villages. CWF reported reaching more than 620,000 beneficiaries across its programs in 2023 through health clinics, relief distribution, education and other services.

Medical program impact

In 2023 CWF organized multiple health camps and cataract surgical campaigns (reporting more than 2,500 people screened and about 468 cataract surgeries in Bihar), operates free clinics in Karachi that together served well over 100,000 patients, and supplied dialysis machines and other critical medical support in Pakistan.

Education and scholarships

CWF supports schools and maktabs in India (including an English-medium school with ~300 students and support to more than 4,000 students across maktabs), and in Pakistan awarded full scholarships to promising pre-medical and pre-engineering students and provided tuition, supplies, and coaching programs to hundreds of students.
