About COLDHARBOUR INSTITUTE

Coldharbour Institute is a U.S.-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit that operates a 334-acre demonstration ranch near Gunnison, Colorado as a living laboratory for regenerative agriculture, watershed stewardship, applied research, and experiential education.

Programs include hands-on youth education and summer camps, producer training and demonstration in regenerative ranching, and an Equitable Solar Solutions program that repurposes tested used solar panels to lower-cost installations for low- and moderate-income households and community organizations.

In the last 2–3 years Coldharbour has maintained active partnerships with Western Colorado University, published regular community newsletters (2023–2024), and updated leadership and board representation (new Executive Director in 2024 and board additions in 2023) while continuing outreach, workshops, student fellowships, and applied monitoring projects on the ranch.
