About Highlands Ranch Community Scholarship Fund
The Highlands Ranch Community Scholarship Fund (HRCSF) is a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) nonprofit established in 2003 to award postsecondary education scholarships to Highlands Ranch students who demonstrate community involvement, volunteerism and service. Funding is raised primarily through community events and donations, with proceeds commonly directed from the annual Highlands Ranch Beer Festival and other community contributions.
In recent years HRCSF has broadened its award reach, continuing to support both graduating high school seniors and participants in HRCA’s Therapeutic Recreation programs. The program runs an annual application cycle (typically January–March) and recognizes recipients each spring at an awards celebration.
Notable achievements
Award expansion (Jan 2024)
HRCA’s board approved increasing annual scholarship awards to 25 scholarships of $2,500 each, expanding the number of students supported.
Long‑term impact
Since inception the fund has awarded several hundred scholarships and hundreds of thousands of dollars in aid to Highlands Ranch students and Therapeutic Recreation participants.
Sustained community fundraising model
Built a durable local fundraising pipeline—anchored by the Beer Festival and donor contributions—that has allowed multi-year support and steady award cycles.
