About FOR PEOPLE OF COLOR INC

For People of Color, Inc. (FPOC) is a volunteer-run 501(c)(3) nonprofit, founded in 2000 and based in Los Angeles, that works to diversify the legal profession by supporting first-generation and low-income students through free admissions advising, workshops, and scholarships.

FPOC operates an annual Law School Admissions Conference (running for more than two decades), partners with law student organizations at top law schools for both in-person and virtual events, and in recent years has expanded a scholarship program to help applicants cover law school application fees. The organization reports modest annual revenue and assets while delivering programmatic support and scholarships to hundreds of prospective law students annually.
