About The GOD'S CHILD Project

The GOD’S CHILD Project (GCP) is a U.S.-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 1991 that operates international and domestic programs delivering education, medical care, housing, and sustainable development to children and vulnerable families in intense poverty. GCP runs long-term sponsorship, schooling, health, and community development programs in multiple countries and operates the Institute for Trafficked, Exploited & Missing Persons (ITEMP) to prevent, detect, rescue, and rehabilitate human‑trafficking victims. The organization describes a multi-disciplinary approach that combines direct services (education, medical care, housing), anti‑trafficking work, disaster relief, and job-creation efforts aimed at breaking the cycle of poverty for targeted communities.

Notable achievements

Direct care and education for thousands of children

GCP reports ongoing programs that care for and educate approximately 5,000 orphaned and poverty‑stricken children across its country programs, providing school access, nutrition, and basic health services.

Established anti‑trafficking institute (ITEMP)

GCP founded the Institute for Trafficked, Exploited & Missing Persons (ITEMP) to lead prevention, investigation, rescue, and rehabilitation work for trafficking victims; ITEMP has supported activities across many countries and provides training and prosecutorial assistance.

Sustainable development and housing projects

GCP implements job-creation and sustainable development initiatives alongside housing and emergency relief programs intended to stabilize vulnerable families and create pathways out of poverty.
