SOUTHEAST ASIAN COMMUNITY ALLIANCE
Our mission is to develop youth leaders to build power in Southeast Asian refugee, immigrant, and low-income communities to win affordable housing, fight displacement, and create vibrant neighborhoods of opportunity in and around Los Angeles Chinatown. Our strategies center on youth and community organizing, policy advocacy, and coalition-building.
About SOUTHEAST ASIAN COMMUNITY ALLIANCE
Southeast Asian Community Alliance (SEACA) is a Los Angeles–based 501(c)(3) community organization founded in 2002 that organizes, trains, and develops leadership among Southeast Asian youth and residents in Chinatown, Lincoln Heights and surrounding neighborhoods. SEACA combines youth leadership development, community health outreach, policy advocacy and neighborhood organizing to address displacement, affordable housing, small business and environmental justice concerns that affect immigrant and refugee communities. In the last 2–3 years SEACA has remained active in coalition campaigns (including transit, housing and anti-displacement work), delivered community workshops and direct relief (meals and rehousing support), and has been featured in local media for its advocacy on affordable housing and neighborhood preservation.
Notable achievements
Youth leadership workshops

Organized community relief efforts—distributing thousands of meals to low-income families and seniors in Chinatown—and supported rehousing and resource referral for residents displaced by local fires.
Policy & media impact
Played a visible advocacy role in local planning conversations (including LA River-related planning and anti-displacement campaigns) and was profiled on a PBS SoCal Earth Focus segment highlighting SEACA’s work on affordable housing and community equity.
