SUSTAINABLE COASTLINES HAWAII
Inspiring communities to care for coastlines through large-scale cleanups, education, resource recovery, and data-driven marine debris research.
About SUSTAINABLE COASTLINES HAWAII
Sustainable Coastlines Hawaiʻi (SCH) is a Honolulu-based 501(c)(3) environmental nonprofit that mobilizes volunteers, schools, and partners to reduce pollution on Hawaiʻi’s coastlines through hands-on cleanups, education programs, resource-recovery efforts, and scientific data collection. In its 2025 impact reporting, SCH documented measurable outcomes from recent programs — including thousands of volunteer events and substantial waste removal and data collection — while operating statewide education and restoration programs that engage K–12 students and community groups. The organization is an active grant recipient and partner with foundations and local stakeholders; recent capacity-building and program grants have supported expansion of marine-debris removal, science-based plastic monitoring, and outreach across the islands.
