About CATCH UP & READ INC

Catch Up & Read is a Dallas-based 501(c)(3) literacy nonprofit that partners with North Texas public schools to accelerate early reading outcomes by training classroom teachers and delivering teacher-directed, small-group tutoring. The organization uses evidence-based, data-driven literacy practices (including bilingual programming in English and Spanish) and emphasizes the Science of Reading in both classroom instruction and after-school interventions. In recent years Catch Up & Read has expanded its measurable impact and external evaluation work: an independent efficacy study completed in 2024 demonstrated statistically significant gains for tutored students, and the organization’s 2024–2025 impact reporting documents teacher training and student reach across multiple North Texas campuses. Catch Up & Read is donor-facing, operates active school partnerships, and publishes annual impact reports.
