About BROKEN TREE COMMUNITY CENTER

Broken Tree Community (BTC) is a faith-based nonprofit based in Castle Rock, Colorado that provides weekly worship and social programs, transportation to events, and skill-building activities for people with mild to moderate cognitive and physical disabilities.

BTC runs regular themed social nights for middle- and high-school students and Bridge-program participants (up to age 21), and organizes two residential camps each year—a weekend winter camp and a week-long summer camp—held at the YMCA of the Rockies.

In recent years BTC has received local grant support for its camp programs and continues to emphasize inclusive, accessible community-building and spiritual ministry for differently-abled individuals and their families.

Named as a 2022 recipient in Douglas County Developmental Disabilities Mill Levy grant awards for support of Broken Tree Community Camp.

Developmental Pathways grant support (2025)

Acknowledged receipt of a Developmental Pathways grant in 2025 to support the 2025 summer camp season and related camp experiences.

Sustained program continuity

Maintains ongoing weekly programming, transportation services, and twice-yearly camps that provide consistent community and access for participants over multiple years.
