About BROACH FOUNDATION FOR BRAIN CANCER RESEARCH
The Broach Foundation for Brain Cancer Research is a Houston-based 501(c)(3) public charity that raises funds to support translational and clinical research into brain tumors. The foundation directs philanthropic grants—primarily to investigator-led work at major research centers—to accelerate early-stage studies and move promising therapies toward clinical trials.
Since its founding (tax-exempt status established in 2012), the Foundation has run an annual fundraising Gala and other development activities to underwrite research grants and clinical programs. In recent years the Foundation has maintained a multi-year funding partnership with researchers at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center (the Lang Laboratory), supporting preclinical work and clinical trials of biological and viral-based therapies for glioblastoma and other brain tumors.
The organization emphasizes donor-funded, near-term translational projects that can generate the preliminary data needed for larger federal grants and for advancing experimental therapies toward FDA review. It continues to host its Stand-Up for Brain Cancer Gala as a primary fundraising vehicle and public engagement platform.
