About JACK ARTS INC

JACK Arts Inc (branded as JACK) is a Brooklyn-based multidisciplinary performance venue and civic space founded in 2012 that presents theater, music, dance and interdisciplinary work and runs artist residencies and development programs. The organization operates a small, community-oriented performance house in Clinton Hill and prioritizes supporting early-career artists with space, technical and production support, and promotional resources while also hosting public forums and community gatherings. In recent years JACK has expanded its presenting and residency activity, secured multi-year grants from arts funders, and maintained active annual programing and fiscal reporting through Form 990 filings.

Notable achievements

Secured long-term performance home

JACK established a dedicated venue in Clinton Hill (18 Putnam Avenue) under a long-term lease, creating a stable presenting and rehearsal space for experimental and community-oriented performance.

Expanded presenting and residency programs

In the past 2–3 years JACK significantly increased program output—presenting dozens to more than a hundred performances annually and operating JACK Labs and residency programs that provide rehearsal time, artist fees, production support and public showings for early-career artists.

Major foundation support

JACK has attracted institutional grants and operating support from national and local funders in recent years, including awards from foundations that increased contributed revenue and sustained program growth.
