About Friends of Arvada Fire (Friends of Arvada Fire Protection District)

Friends of Arvada Fire (FAFPD) was established to reduce the financial burden on the Arvada Fire Protection District by fundraising and grant-writing to purchase equipment, support training, and fund community risk-reduction programs. The organization is a recognized public charity (IRS determination letter issued February 11, 2013, classifying it under Section 501(c)(3)).

FAFPD works closely with Arvada Fire to fund items and initiatives not covered by the district's operating budget, including training systems, patient-handling equipment, fire-investigation cameras, smoke-alarm campaigns, and community safety programs such as Dave's Locker.

FAFPD regularly convenes volunteer board members and organizes community fundraising events (notably the annual Chili Cook-Off and the Firefighters' Car Fest) to engage residents while generating donations for operational and educational needs.
