About FRIENDS OF THE BRENTWOOD ART CENTER
Friends of the Brentwood Art Center (doing business as Brentwood Art Center) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit arts education organization that traces its roots to a community art school founded in 1970. The organization operates studio classes, camps, masterclasses, a Fine Art Certificate program, and community outreach programs from its campus in the Los Angeles/Santa Monica area.
In recent years the organization has operated at a mid-sized budgetary scale with program services representing the majority of revenue; during the 2024–25 fiscal year Brentwood Art Center delivered tens of thousands of hours of instruction and served more than two thousand participants. Expanded the Veterans Art Program in FY 2024–25, delivering around 205 hours of fine-arts training to approximately 790 veterans (a nearly 47% increase in participation year-over-year).
Sustained program-driven revenues
Maintained a program-services–driven operating model with total revenues around $1.2–1.3 million and program services representing the majority of revenue in recent fiscal years.
