About Hunger Fight, Inc.

Hunger Fight, Inc. is a Jacksonville-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit that packs and distributes shelf-stable, nutrient-fortified meals and age-appropriate books to children, seniors, and families facing food insecurity. The organization runs hands-on team-building packing events, subsidized meal sponsorships, and two core programs — Feed the Backpacks (weekend nutrition for schoolchildren) and Feed the Need to Read (monthly books for preschoolers).

Since its founding in 2012, Hunger Fight has expanded its operations beyond the First Coast through regional outreach and partner events, serving communities across Florida, Georgia and Utah while mobilizing corporate partners, volunteers, and donors to scale meal and literacy distribution. The organization has shown sustained operational activity and measurable event-based impact in 2022–2024, including large multi-site packing events and philanthropic partnerships that produced hundreds of thousands of meals and thousands of books.
